Meet the Team
The hard work's been done.
Meet our stellar team.
Here at Aperio, we think you've got enough to do without adding 'homework' to the list. So we studied hard to find the professionals you can trust with your financial future. Our financial advisors and accountants are all experienced, friendly professionals devoted to your financial success (sorry, you'll have to carry your own books to class...)
Alex Gulabovski: The Ideas Man
While many guys dream about souped up cars and the return of footy season, Alex G.'s passion is for investment and wealth creation. Starting his numbers career in 1987, Alex soon gained his advisors licence and focused on wealth protection. Clocking up extensive experience, Alex began to offer a full range of financial advice to assist clients in reaching their goals.
Fast forwarding, Alex now concentrates on special advice projects, including property and business development, and providing opportunities to Aperio clients who happily describe him as more of a mentor than a financial advisor – like a financial GPS – providing them with direction and guidance.
Also keeping him busy is his brood of three. Heavily involved in his kids' sporting activities, Alex understands the importance of teamwork, one of Aperio's key principles. His goal is to help people (like you!) create enough wealth to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle and to work because they want to, not because they have to.
A clever cookie, Alex has a Diploma of Financial Planning and is a Certified Financial Planner™ with the Financial Planning Association of Australia. He's also a sub-authorised representative of Aperio Financial Solutions.
Grant Hope: The Financial Health Champion
From the quiet country town of Dimboola to the wilds of the big smoke, in 1987, Grant H. upped sticks to head to Melbourne to find his calling. Starting out by working with insurance , Grant soon expanded his knowledge and experience to include superannuation and investment advice.
Through an acquaintance, he began providing financial advice in the education industry, specialising in salary packaging. He also started helping government organisations and departments related to education (handy fellow, isn't he?)
More recently, Grant has focused on the importance of wealth protection and assists his clients to protect their wealth, health and lives. He also remembers those back home, regularly returning to Dimboola to provide personal financial advice to clients from Victoria's Wimmera region.
Grant's ability to connect with all types of people (he's the people's people person), and the way he encourages clients to focus on their long-term lifestyle make him a valued member of the Aperio team. He holds a Diploma of Financial Services and is currently undertaking his Advanced Diploma of Financial Services. Grant's also a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia and a sub-authorised representative of Aperio Financial Solutions.
Marcus Celepci : A Man of Many Talents
Marcus Celepci joined Aperio Financial Solutions Pty Ltd, in early 2012, as a Financial Planner. He commenced his Financial Planning career within the banking industry 9 years ago. After 7 years of financial planning, he took an opportunity to move to sunny Perth in a Technical and Strategic coaching role for the banks financial planners.
He comes from a large family and this has showed him over the years how important health, support, structure and planning is for the future. He validated that “home is where the heart is”, by relocating back to Melbourne to be closer to family and friends after a few years in Perth.
His 9 years within the banking industry has taught him how to interact with his clients on a personal level, after all, everyone’s situation is different. Marcus covers a wide range of services, that offers to all his clients;
Marcus is known for his professionalism, work ethic and integrity. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia, and is currently completing his Certified Financial Planner designation with the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
In his free time he enjoys playing soccer and football. A strong Chelsea (EPL) & Melbourne Demons (AFL) supporter (don’t hold it against him). You won’t be losing out with Marcus, as his genuine care for his clients and competitive nature will ensure he will put himself on the line in the dying moment to make sure everything is put through just the way intended.
Ray Dadwal: The Numbers Guy
Numbers, If Ray were a character on TV, he'd be the Count from Sesame Street – he just can't get enough of numbers. Ray began his accounting career by teaching economics, after completing a Bachelor's degree majoring in, yep, you guessed it, economics and a Bachelor of Education.
Passionate about helping individuals and families with their taxes, as well as small business accounting, Ray then went on to complete his Advanced Diploma in Accounting, followed by a Master of Accounting (see what we mean about all those numbers?)
Now a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Ray specialises in taxation and has recently chosen to hit the books once more to up his expertise in self-managed super funds.
Ray heads up Aperio's Accounting and Taxation department and is currently in the process of completing his Chartered Accountant accreditation. He's also a registered tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board.
James: The Bank Breaker
Behind James's cool, calm exterior, lurks a lean, mean mortgage broking machine. With a Bachelor of Business and a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking), James has been finding champion mortgages for Aperio clients since 2004.
James is mad about wrestling and let's just say we don't call him 'The Bank Breaker' for nothing. He loves to go into battle with the banks to make sure our clients come out on top. And as a member of the Australian Finance Group (AFG), James has access to hundreds of loans to suit all sorts of needs (just try him – he loves a challenge!)
To make sure he stays up to date with all the latest mortgage broking skills, James is also a member of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA), the leading national body for credit advisers. He's currently in the process of adding another piece of paper to his wall – a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial/Mortgage Broking Management). Yep, tough and smart.
When he's not wrestling with banks, James can be found wrestling with his two young children. But, don't worry, unlike when he wrestles the banks, he's happy to let the kids win.
